The Sane Asylum Radio

Some will remember a time when a friend would share an album with you and say something like,"I think you might like this", and sure enough you were turned on to your new find for the rest of your life, and in that way, your friend remains with you through your lifetime because of the music you shared.

Mark shares his music in that way. You can't wait to look at the album cover and turn it over and see the story behind the music...enjoy, Ego

Sound of Mind Series-Enlightment

What will we do when we achieve enlightenment? Always enjoy the reflections of Dorothy Lin...I think you will also...Ego
Dorothy Lin
Are we sure we want to attain enlightenment?

Just imagine you and I had all entered the state of enlightenment. We would be feeling all grateful and blissful and nothing else, not even a trace of negativity or doubt. Then, except for repetitively acknowledging the beauty in all things around us, what else could we talk about?  Most likely, instead of saying anything, we’d be better off just watching some small creek quietly flowing between rocks, or gazing at the white clouds serenely hanging on ...

Things are not always what they seem

I passed an ole man on the street last night. I could not believe what I saw...he was stuffing cigarette tobacco into his nostrils...true.

I approached him and said..."oh! I see you need my help sir..."
Without hesitation he responded, "Yea, you got a match?"

Don't forget to give a little grin today...especially to the ridiculous!

Front Porch Psychology- Fear less

Fear Less

When your cells react to fear you create dis-ease in your cells. If the dis-ease
last long enough...it becomes disease in your body...
Your cells only react in two ways, growth or protection. When there is something wrong in your life,
there will be something wrong with you...
Life is both love and fear...what you see in life is what you believe...

Take good care of your future!

Celebrate Freedom-On the road

She lives in the Vieux Carre' district at the corner of  Royal Street and Dumaine Street.
Her second floor apartment is next door to Madame John's Legacy.
I first saw her at the Cafe' Du Monde, having her afternoon coffee. From the start she was a delight in her conversation.
Never once did I think she befit the name the locals gave her..."Luppie." She asked me if I was free? "Of course", I said. And as any good psychologist would do I quickly asked, "Do you feel free?"
She smiled through her Rouge lips and told me she had been free all her life. She continued...
"One day on the play ground after being laughed at for my choice of attire, I decided to own my weirdness. At that moment I lost the worlds expectations...and became free." She gave a tug on her silk dress and said, "Freedom to be yourself is your birth right...don't you think?"
It was a warm wonderful afternoon. As I reached her door for my departure, she stopped me with her words...
"Ego...you do know freedom is for the brave, don't you?"

Her name is Madame Clare'

Life Inside The Sane Asylum-dr I B Thinking

"I think you might have a very common linguistic virus...it's called  dumb ass thinking."

Sorry for the bad language Dr Ego. Pay me a little more for these blog post and I will clean it up.

Dr I B Thinking

CITIZEN of THE SANE ASYLUM

DR I B THINKING-is one of the original homesteaders and quiet active with his post to the public. The problem is Dr I B's brain wave vibes are a little different than most. His advice is usually well thought out, but you may need brain optimization treatment to understand his thinking. He believes language has created all of our illusion of beliefs about who we are, and if we can make that distinction,
we can change our beliefs which will change our reality. He seems to be playing the role of a linguistic medicine man. He likes his bow ties a lot!

Front Porch Psychology Series-Only choices

There are no answers to your life's questions...there are only choices...and those my dear friends,
we must "learn" to live with. So let's don't victimize our past until we fully encounter our future.

From the Road...I stopped to pick up some...

J D the Philosopher...
Dr Ego Prozac
I stopped to pick up some fresh corn that was given to me by JD The Philosopher, and spotted this funny ole tree...I thought you might like to see a tree in The Sane Asylum. Most are not this histrionic. This tree sits on the homestead property of J D. If you remember, J D said he could have been an astronaut, but who in the hell wants to ride a rocket. He had a good garden this year. In spite of the rain. He gave me his last 50 or so ears of corn. Quiet a character with a funny ole tree...Ego
