Aamir Shahzad
Musing at the night
Where do I go?
When I’m feeling so lost and I don’t want to be found.
When I’m looking and listening for that peace in my heart.
But I know I’ll never hear that sound.

Sound of Mind Series-"Be soft. Do not let the world make you ...

Dr Ego Prozac shared Jüliα Мαiԉϵ's post with you. as a reflection, I thought from the moment I encountered this work it was a Sound of Mind Series post...it may well end up in the Our Children Series...
Jüliα Мαiԉϵ
"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place."

Todays News

Today’s news
from Inside the Sane Asylum

I have received several e-mails asking, from what reality am I posting? Never gave that much thought, but it is simple question to answer...from my illusions. I don't want anyone to feel cheated with any of my comments and post but they all come from my illusions of truth as I know them to be. So I could be wrong.

As far as my endeavors...well I am a Thought Placebo Researcher in The Sane Asylum. As I see it, placebos work at least twenty eight percent of the time, so why not try it with thoughts. There are some dangers, however, one could get dependent on thought placebos or even suffer from the ill effects of NoPlacebo. There really is such a thing, you know. I don't have many fears but there is one, I'm concerned the pharmaceutical company that makes Prozac will make me change my moniker..

The Sane Asylum is just another illusion, but a good one. There are citizens that actual live in The Sane Asylum. Homesteaders mostly.. Occasionally we will get a wanderer, like the Ole Goat Man that lives on the outskirts. Their are no seekers in the Sane Asylum. The citizens have nothing against them, they just don't have enough time to bring them around. From time to time we will get a visa request which may be approved. That Gypsy Girl, Izzy IsNess and N D Shadow are Visa holders.

On a serious note, The Sane Asylum is a Preservation Site for those Of Sound Mind. I hope you will occasionally visit my blog dregoprozac.blogspot.com. I try to feature posts that reflect the best moments in our human condition. These post deserve acknowledgement and a measure of preservation.  From time to time you will even get a visit from one of the citizens that may give you a little of their Folk Psychology.

Don't forget to make peace with yourself,
Ego

The Sane Asylum Radio

Some of you will recall a time when a friend would hand you an album cover and say, "I think you just might like this." You could not wait to turn the cover over and read the story behind the music. And sure enough you were hooked for a lifetime, on the song, the story and the friendship.

Mark shares his music and gives you a little story behind the music...
Just like an ole friend...

Enjoy the Sane Asylum Radio pick of the week.

Quest Blogger Series-Christians visit to the Zoo

Inside The Sane Asylum

"For me, going to the mall is equivalent of most people visiting the zoo.
There are fascinating and weird creatures there."

You can see more of this story to come on Christiantouchet.blogspot.com

Life Inside The Sane Asylum-look who showed up!

"Is something going on with the sun and the moon? I think the gravitational pull
has pulled the dumb ass out of a lot of people and the fish have quit biting."

Chuckle MeSum

Chuckle MeSum is one of the original homesteaders. Years back, he tried to organize a group of misfits called Three Quarter Time. The group could not go that fast and decided they did not like being labeled anyway. Chuckle is from the FAR edge of the brink, looking for gold, and a little amused by it all. He always seems to be on the wrong path but in the right direction. A lot like Hither and Yun. He likes fishing, but needs to get a new bow line. Seems he keeps snagging Jes Ben Rambling on the frayed ole rope. Jes Ben Rambling called it "Sorry ass line. One needs gloves just to handle the line!"  Chuckle has a keen ear for sound and good music. The Sane Asylum Hysterical Society is encouraging him to open Sane Asylum Radio. It will occupy a small space in The Shit Creek Paddle Shop. He may embellish a fish tale just to see who might get hooked.

Guest Blogger and in resident writer

"Just as a precaution, be careful entering my world. The other day I got lost. Apparently someone was doing construction in there and I had to detour around the prefrontal cortex. Took me several hours to figure out where I was."

I read psychology books and try to analyze my doctors. During one of my electro shock therapy sessions I had an epiphany and began exploring the depths of my psyche. As a result, I became a philosopher/writer at war with my own inner Id. I believe we all wrestle with our own inner demons but I prefer to sit down to tea parties with mine and see how they're doing.
