ReplyDeletebut nobody kills the cook, safe profession, especially on a ship. It's a mad world. I heard a story told once about a cook who worked in a lumber camp. The cook that day threw away the leftover of the baked beans out the window, which landed on the old tree's branches. A day later a bear was discovered hanging from the tree's forked branch, and very dead. The men ran to the kitchen, calling the cook to come out immediately. The cook was surprised to see a brown bear hanging there. One of the men yelled out. "See how bad your cooking is, even the bear hung itself!!" But the cook lives.
